Certified Translations
“Knowledge is good; but expertise is better” (Emanuel Geibel)
IBS employs sworn translators who translate and certify your official documents, public deeds and papers. When official foreign language documents are presented before courts, administrative authorities, public authorities or notaries, not only do they need to be translated, they also have to be certified.
Our sworn, publicly appointed official document translators can assist you if you need a certified translation for:
- Court judgments
- Legal documents and contracts
- Employer's references, diplomas and certificates
- CVs and application letters
- Official documents (birth, marriage and death certificates)
- Wills
- Adoption papers
- Criminal records
- Proof of residence
- Immigration and emigration documents
- Company incorporation documents, extracts from commercial registers and articles of association
- Official transcripts
- Tax assessment notices
We obtain the certification of your documents from the notary, including apostille (authentication) by the State Chancellery on request, if your translation is intended for abroad.
As official documents and public records differ greatly in content, not every sworn translator can undertake every certified translation. Here too, IBS selects the right translator for you.
For some documents, a signed declaration on our company letterhead, certifying that the translation was prepared to the best of our knowledge and belief and is a complete representation of the original document submitted to us, also suffices.
